Royal glamour, global stars and powerful emotions: on 13 November 2014, the 66th BAMBI awards will take place live from Berlin’s Stage Theater, and promise to be one of the social highlights of the year. The ceremony will honour German and international stars such as Irish rock band U2, singer Ariana Grande and classical music stars Lang Lang and Jonas Kaufmann.

Germany’s most successful entertainer, Helene Fischer, will receive her second consecutive BAMBI and open the event in spectacular fashion. Her concert at the O2 World, which has been sold out for months, has been moved back one hour so that she can receive Germany’s most important media award in person. The event will be broadcast live in the O2 World to allow her fans to enjoy this tribute to their favourite star.

American actress Uma Thurman will receive the “International actress” BAMBI. A world-famous Hollywood star, she shot to stardom primarily thanks to her roles in the Quentin Tarantino films “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill”.

The Danish Crown Prince couple will add some royal glamour to the red carpet outside the Stage Theater at Potsdamer Platz. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will attend the BAMBI ceremony – where she is to receive the “Charity” award – together with her husband His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, heir to the throne. The event will be attended by Toni Garrn, Elyas M’Barek, Florian David Fitz, Lena Gercke, The BossHoss, Barbara Schöneberger, Senta Berger, Rea Garvey, Hans-Dietrich Genscher and many more.
