The first BAMBI-awardees announced

BAMBI 2014-awardees: Helene Fischer, Jonas Kaufmann, Lang Lang and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark

It will be a glamorous premiere and unforgettable moment: For the first time, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will have a live appearance on German television for the BAMBI award ceremony in Berlin. The Danish Crown Princess will receive the BAMBI for „Charity“ honouring her engagement against domestic violence.

Another highlight and premiere of the live broadcast: A performance from star tenor Jonas Kaufmann together with piano virtuoso Lang Lang. Both will receive a BAMBI for their outstanding achievements within classical music.

Germany’s most successful singer and entertainer Helene Fischer will be honored with a Bambi for the second time in a row. Once again she will surprise the audience with a special performance of one of her hits.

BAMBI, Germany’s most prestigious Media Award and one of the largest social events of the year will take place in Berlin on November 13, 2014. The German public service broadcaster “Das Erste” will air the show live from the Theatre at the Potsdamer Platz at 8:15 pm. The Bambi is a prize awarded by journalists and honours those people who inspire, touch, and move the German audience.
