It is expected to be a highlight of this year’s live show: No other than the British singer and world star Robbie Williams will open the BAMBI award ceremony on November 17th 2016 and welcome about 1,000 guests at the Stage Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin for a glamourous BAMBI night.

Awarded in the category “Music International”

Robbie Williams is one of the most popular live-artists of our times. Standing in the spotlight for the first time as a member of the boyband “Take That”, Williams has sold more than 70 million albums as a solo-artist to date; six of them have been listed in the Top 100 best-selling albums of British music history. 14 songs of Robbie Williams shot to the top of the UK Singles Charts, most recently his hit “Candy” in 2012. Getting his 18th “Brit Award” next year, Williams has received nearly twice as many awards as any other artist by now. That’s why Robbie Williams will be honoured with the BAMBI for “Music International”.

The BAMBI jury explains: “Put your lighters up because Robbie Williams is back! In the world of charts, where the list of artists changes ever fast, Robbie Williams is a lasting guarantee for success. He has been one of the greatest international pop musicians for the past twenty years – as solo artist and as singer of the pop band ‘Take That’. With his current album ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’ which is the first in three years Robbie introduces us to his amazing musical range.”

Robbie William’s eleventh album “The Heavy Entertainment Show” will be published on November 4th 2016. For this, Williams collaborated with well-known artists such as Guy Chambers, Stuart Price, Johnny McDaid (Snow Patrol), Rufus Wainwright, Brandon Flowers and Ed Sheeran.
